Description:  Non-sag tungsten wire
CAS No:  7440-33-7
Application:
Non-sag tungsten, or doped-tungsten, is extremely resilient to deformation (sagging) under high endurance conditions. SMI Ltd.’s experienced engineers have developed a number of non-sag and creep resistant wires that are now widely used in the lighting industry.

Classification
Characteristics
Applications
W31
Standard doped tungsten with excellent non-sagging property.
Filaments for bulb lamps and fluorescent lamps, heaters for electron tubes.
W41
Tungsten wires with re-crystallization point lower than that of W31 and excels in reforming.
Vacuum metalizing material and high temperature structural material.
W91
Excels in non-sagging property and a best fit for high temperature use.
Filaments for halogen lamps.
W99
Tungsten wires with re-crystallization point higher than that of W91 and excels non-sagging property
Filaments for halogen lamps with longer life.
WKMT10
Thoria Tungsten Wire (and Rods). Commonly used in inert gas welding (TIG) and plasma welding. Can carry 50% more current than tungsten, and produces a more stable arc.
Prematerial for lamp electrodes are available at diameters from 0.25 to 2 mm. Filaments for magnetrons for microwave ovens
