Molybdenum and molybdenum alloy plates and sheets are often used as heating elements in high-temperature furnaces. Mo-La alloys has a higher re-crystallization temperature compared to conventional molybdenum materials. Stable fine-dispersed particles of La2O3, combined with an elongated grain structure, results in beneficial high-temperature properties (particularly creep properties).
